During the mid 80s to early 90s, Western Publishing, under the "A Golden Book" moniker, published the delightful "Sesame Street A Growing-Up Book" series, written to help young children navigate many of the challenges they face during their early developmental years. From a new sibling's arrival, to boredom, and helping others, each title addresses (in Sesame Street's the Muppets silly, relatable, way) one struggle young children often face. Our current collection offers books that are in excellent to "like new" condition (please note flaws, listed by title, below), and measure approximately 8.5" x 7.75". Individually priced, based on rarity, demand, and condition, simply choose the desired title(s) from the drop-down menu. Combined shipping applied at checkout. Printed in the USA.
A Baby Sister for Herry - inscription on interior front cover. See photo 6
Big Bird Can Share - tiny knick at top of spine; name redacted on flyleaf. See photo7
Where's My Blankie? - slight, oily, stain on top left corner of front cover. See photo 14

As with all vintage books, wear including scuffing, fading, dog ears, crushed/soft cover corners, minor tears etc., are to be expected. Our books are sold in “as is” condition. Some are “like new” while others bear signs of being much loved over many decades. Significant flaws (large tears, scribbles, inscriptions, water damage) are noted by book title (see above), and in photos where space permits. Please note: photos represent the titles available, not necessarily the copy you will receive, so please read the attached descriptions where notable flaws are mentioned. Although we do our best to keep photos and descriptions up-to-date, sometimes copies sell faster than we can amend the listing so, again, be aware that you might not receive the copy represented in the listing. When we have multiple copies in inventory, we will always ship the book that is in the BEST condition e.g. you may be expecting a book with an inscription and small tear but receive one that is “like new”. Buyers who have provided Etsy their email address will be notified if there are significant differences between what is described/pictured at time of purchase and the actual copy being shipped. If any of these potential issues are particularly important to you, contact us prior to check-out for specific details about the copy immediately available.
If you don’t see the title you’re looking for, please visit our shop's "Children's Books" section or contact us for assistance; we purchase new inventory regularly, have many unlisted titles, and keep a list of customer requests to watch for while sourcing new items “in the wild”. We’re here to help. *

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
But please contact me if you have problems with your order
Due to NEW Customs rules (effective August 29, 2025), import duties/tariffs will be charged to most packages entering the U.S., based on the current tariff rate of the country of origin i.e. where the product was made. Our shop ships via Chit Chats, a third party service that utilizes partner carriers like Canada Post, and USPS for "final mile" delivery. Packages destined for the USA are subject to DDP postage (Delivered Duty Paid), meaning extra fees are paid up-front, so there won't be any surprises on the recipients' end on arrival. Listings that do not indicate shipping options for our American customers can, in most cases, still be shipped - we just have to calculate and collect the associated fees. Contact us for details.
An ad valorem tariff rate, based on a product's country of origin (where it was made), and calculated as a percentage of an item's value, will apply to the majority of our listings. For listings that do not indicate a U.S. destined delivery fee, please contact us with your address: we are more than happy to complete the requisite paper work to determine any additional fees associated with your product(s) of choice, and create a private listing for said item(s).
We have added Country of Origin to each of our listings to assist you, should you prefer to "guesstimate" extra fees on your own. You can check online tariff tools or search "international tariff rates by country", or contact U.S. Customs and Border Control. We can not ship items with indeterminate country of origin, at this time. Again, we're happy to contact our shipping partner to determine the exact fees associated with the item(s) you're interested in: simply contact us, and include a shipping address.
Fellow Canadians, shopping at Where the Wild Finds Are, will not incur additional fees due to U.S. tariffs.
The shipping cost for single book purchases is a direct reflection of the brokerage fees incurred to ship to the U.S. following the imposition of tariffs and termination of the de minimis exemption. To help offset the increase, we have reduced the cost for additional titles shipped in the same order to $2. All orders are shipped with tracking and insurance, protecting both buyer and seller from loss or damage. Shipping overages, when they occur, are refunded.
