To our American Customers: unfortunately, we can not ship to the U.S. at this time. We sincerely hope that processes are soon put into place that will allow for the collection and remittance of new tariffs so we can once again ship our “wild finds” to you. Until then, please accept our apologies and continue supporting our small business by “favoriting” the treasures you love, and “following” our shop. Thanks, so much!
Stephen Cosgrove's Serendipity book series is a delightful collection of morality tales featuring creatures both familiar (think cats, horses, rabbits) and fantastical (sea monsters, unicorns, dragons); each story is beautifully illustrated by Robin James. What began as a single story for Cosgrove's young daughter has become a series of 70 titles written for children aged 4/5 - 8 years in mind. Wonderful gifts for young book-lovers, or to add to your personal collection of nostalgic favorites. Indicated price is per book, simply select the title(s) you're interested in from the drop down menu. Combined shipping calculated at check-out. Each hard-cover book measures 10.25" x 6.75". Copies are in excellent condition: many show light foxing (age spots). Originally published by Serendipity Press then Price/Stern/Sloan, in the USA.
Gabby - spine is slightly squished at top and bottom
Hucklebug - slight musty odor; wear on exterior back cover
Leo the Lop - name, very neatly, printed on flyleaf
Little Mouse on the Prairie - shelf wear/rub marks along cover edges - most noticeable on exterior
back cover
The Muffin Muncher - small stain spots on front cover
Raz-Ma-Taz - small tear on spine (photo 9); spine is a little dirty
Shimmeree - spine is a little grubby
Trapper - spine is spotty and a little dirty (photo 10)
As with all vintage books, wear including scuffing, fading, dog ears, crushed/soft cover corners, minor tears etc., are to be expected. Our books are sold in “as is” condition. Some are “like new” while others bear signs of being much loved over many decades. Significant flaws (large tears, scribbles, inscriptions, water damage) are noted by book title (see above), and in photos where space permits. Please note: photos represent the titles available, not necessarily the copy you will receive, so please read the attached descriptions where notable flaws are mentioned. Although we do our best to keep photos and descriptions up-to-date, sometimes copies sell faster than we can amend the listing so, again, be aware that you might not receive the copy represented in the listing. When we have multiple copies in inventory, we will always ship the book that is in the BEST condition e.g. you may be expecting a book with an inscription and small tear but receive one that is “like new”. Buyers who have provided Etsy their email address will be notified if there are significant differences between what is described/pictured at time of purchase and the actual copy being shipped. If any of these potential issues are particularly important to you, contact us prior to check-out for specific details about the copy immediately available.
For more great children's books, visit our shop's "Books" section. Alternatively, contact us for assistance; we purchase new inventory regularly, have many unlisted titles, and keep a list of customer requests to watch for while sourcing new items “in the wild”. We’re here to help.

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. I'm not responsible for delays due to customs.
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Due to NEW Customs rules (effective August 29, 2025), import duties/tariffs will be charged to most packages entering the U.S. based on the current tariff rate of the country of origin i.e. where the product was made. American buyers are solely responsible for remitting these fees which may include "brokerage" fees in addition to the applicable tariff rate. Please be aware and order with the understanding that we can not accept returns at this time, nor will refunds be issued for packages refused due to unpaid duties.
Unfortunately, we are unable to estimate these fees but CAN share that one of two rates, as determined by the carrier, will apply. An ad valorem duty, equal to the tariff rate of the product's country of origin (where it was made) under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) OR (from August 29, 2025 to February 28, 2026) a specific per item duty from $80 to $200 based on the IEEPA tariff rate of the country of origin .
We have added Country of Origin to each of our listings to assist you. Check online tariff tools or search "international tariff rates by country", or contact U.S. Customs and Border Control. We can not ship items with indeterminate country of origin, nor those made in China and Hong Kong, to the U.S. at this time.
Fellow Canadians, shopping at Where the Wild Finds Are, will not incur additional fees due to U.S. tariffs.
