Nursery Rhymes, Fairy Tales & Fables - Little Golden Books - Copyrights 1943-1992 - Printed in USA

$5.35

Shipping to United States: $7.66

To our American buyers: Regrettably, we have had to increase the shipping cost for single book purchases, a direct reflection of the brokerage fees incurred to ship to the U.S. following the imposition of tariffs and termination of the de minimis exemption. To help offset the increase, we have reduced the cost for additional titles shipped in the same order from $3/book to $2. Shipping overages are refunded.

From classic fairy tales to nursery rhymes and fables, this assortment of titles from Little Golden Books includes stories that we all know and love. Add to your personal collection of nostalgic childhood books, or share with a special child. Publication dates vary, with original copyrights from 1943 - 1992. Indicated price is per book – simply select the desired title(s) from the drop-down menu. Combined shipping applied at check-out; postage overages refunded. Printed in USA.

As with all vintage books, wear including scuffing, fading, dog ears, crushed/soft cover corners, minor tears etc., are to be expected. Our books are sold in “as is” condition. Some are “like new” while others bear signs of being much loved over many decades. Significant flaws (large tears, scribbles, inscriptions, water damage) are noted by book title (see above), and in photos where space permits. Please note: photos represent the titles available, not necessarily the copy you will receive, so please read the attached descriptions where notable flaws are mentioned. Although we do our best to keep photos and descriptions up-to-date, sometimes copies sell faster than we can amend the listing so, again, be aware that you might not receive the copy represented in the listing. When we have multiple copies in inventory, we will always ship the book that is in the BEST condition e.g. you may be expecting a book with an inscription and small tear but receive one that is “like new”. Buyers who have provided Etsy their email address will be notified if there are significant differences between what is described/pictured at time of purchase and the actual copy being shipped. If any of these potential issues are particularly important to you, contact us prior to check-out for specific details about the copy immediately available.

If you don’t see the title you’re looking for, please check our categorized Little Golden Books listings, or special single titles at https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/WhereTheWildFindzAre
Alternatively, contact us for assistance; we purchase new inventory regularly, have many unlisted titles, and keep a list of customer requests to watch for while sourcing new items “in the wild”. We’re here to help.

At Where the Wild Finds Are, all items are in pre-loved condition and sold “as is”. We describe and photograph each item with as much detail/accuracy as possible, ensuring you understand the condition of the product you are purchasing. Please contact us with any questions PRIOR to checkout – we are happy to help!

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I have to pay extra fees when my package arrives?

Due to NEW Customs rules (effective August 29, 2025), import duties/tariffs will be charged to most packages entering the U.S., based on the current tariff rate of the country of origin i.e. where the product was made. Our shop ships via Chit Chats, a third party service that utilizes partner carriers like Canada Post, and USPS for "final mile" delivery. Packages destined for the USA are subject to DDP postage (Delivered Duty Paid), meaning extra fees are paid up-front, so their won't be any surprises on the recipients' end on arrival. Listings that do not indicate shipping options for our American customers can, in most cases, still be shipped - we just have to calculate and collect the associated fees. Contact us for details.

How much will the extra duty fees be?

An ad valorem tariff rate, based on a product's country of origin (where it was made), and calculated as a percentage of an item's value, will apply to the majority of our listings. For listings that do not indicate a U.S. destined delivery fee, please contact us with your address: we are more than happy to complete the requisite paper work to determine any additional fees associated with your product(s) of choice, and create a private listing for said item(s).

How can I determine the Country of Origin?

We have added Country of Origin to each of our listings to assist you, should you prefer to "guesstimate" extra fees on your own. You can check online tariff tools or search "international tariff rates by country", or contact U.S. Customs and Border Control. We can not ship items with indeterminate country of origin, at this time. Again, we're happy to contact our shipping partner to determine the exact fees associated with the item(s) you're interested in: simply contact us, and include a shipping address.

Will Canadian shoppers be affected by U.S. tariffs and termination of the Section 321 De Minimis exemption??

Fellow Canadians, shopping at Where the Wild Finds Are, will not incur additional fees due to U.S. tariffs.

Average:

I’d been looking for a very specific book since I lost it as a child. Not only did I find it, but I also found several other childhood favourites. Jen answered all my questions and sent me additional pictures promptly. Each book that I ordered was beautifully wrapped up and safely packaged for me. It was like opening presents containing memories of my childhood. Everything was exactly as described and shown, and my package was shipped and arrived super fast. I would definitely recommend this seller. Definitely the place to find a precious literary treasure!
